Chang Xi is the youngest member of the young witches gathered together on Samhain; Thea Harman guesses she turned seven after last year's summer circle and thus was now old enough to participate in Circle events, as she had never seen her before. Chang Xi attends the celebrations dressed as Kuan Yin, the Chinese goddess of compassion. She appears to be rather shy, but is encouraged to take part by Lawai'a Ikua. Whilst they are casting the circle, Chang Xi starts the ritual by sweeping the area with a sprig of broom (the plant broom, that is).
Physical Appearance Edit
Chang Xi is described as being a small girl with large, "almond-shaped" eyes. She is wearing a "jade green" outfit to represent Kuan Yin.
- Chang Xi's personal deity is Kuan Yin, also known Guanyin, who is often called the Goddess of Mercy and is an East Asian deity associated with mercy and compassion for others.
