Circles are organisations for witches. In the past witches had to make a decision as to which Circle they would permanently belong to when they turned eighteen. They could choose to belong to Circle Twilight or Circle Midnight. Since the witches seceded from the Night World in Black Dawn many have followed their Maiden and mother and have joined Circle Daybreak.

- During prehistoric times, witches belonged to tribes instead of Circles. Tribes (such as Hecate Witch-Queen's Tribe) may have been the predecessors to modern Circles.
- With the secession of the witches from the Night World, there currently only exists two Circles: Circle Midnight and Circle Daybreak. The Inner Circle, Circle Twilight and the majority of Circle Midnight witches have joined Circle Daybreak.
